Camberwick Green (1966)
Here is a box, a musical box —
Wound-up and ready to play,
But this box can hide a secret inside,
Can you guess what is in it today?![]()
Cannonball
Barrelin’ down the highway,
Wheelin’ right along,
Hear the tires hummin’,
Hummin’ out a song.
The rumble of the diesel,
The shiftin’ of the gears,
The rhythm when he’s rollin’,
It’s music to his ears.
Cannonball! Cannonball!
Any kind of weather,
Any time of day,
When the rig is ready,
He’ll be on his way.
He’ll carry any cargo,
He’ll go anywhere,
Name the destination,
And brother, he’ll be there.
Cannonball! Cannonball!
Captain Scarlet (1967: ITV)
Captain Scarlet —
He’s the one who knows the Mysteron game,
And things that they plan.
Captain Scarlet —
To his Martian foes a dangerous name,
A superman.
They crash him, and his body may burn,
They smash him —- but they know he’ll return,
To live again.
Captain Scarlet —
As the Angels are flying wing to wing,
Into the scene, spectrum Is Green.
Captain Scarlet —
Though the Mysteron’s plan is to conquer the earth,
This indestructible man will show what he’s worth.

Car 54 Where Are You (1960s)
There’s a hold-up in the Bronx,
Brooklyn’s broken out in fights,
There’s a traffic jam in Harlem
That’s backed up to Jackson Heights,
There’s a Scout troop short a child,
Khrushchev’s due at Idlewild….
CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU?
Casey Jones
Stop, look, listen ’cos you’re gonna hear
A brand new story ’bout a great engineer,
He’s the greatest of them all we claim
Number one’s his engine, Casey Jones his name.
Casey Jones a steamin’ and a rollin’,
Casey Jones you never have to guess
When you hear the tootin’ of the whistle
It’s Casey at the throttle of the Cannonball Express!
[Repeat]![]()
Champion the Wonder Horse
Champion, the Wonder Horse,
Champion, the Wonder Horse,
Like a streak of lightnin’ flashin’ ’cross the sky,
Like the swiftest arrow whizzin’ from a bow,
Like a mighty cannonball he seems to fly,
You’ll hear about him ev’rywhere you go,
The time’ll come when ev’ryone will know the name of
Champion the Wonder Horse.![]()
Charlie’s Angels (1976)
Once upon a time there were three little girls who went to the Police Academy
And they were each assigned very hazardous duties,
But I took them away from all that — and now they work for me.
My name is Charlie.
The Charlie Drake Show (1960s)
Hello my darlin’s!
Cheyenne (1955–1963)
Cheyenne, Cheyenne, where will you be camping tonight?
Lonely man Cheyenne, will your heart stay free and light?
Dream, Cheyenne, of a girl you may never love,
Move along, Cheyenne, like the restless cloud up above.
The wind that blows, that comes and goes, has been your only home.
But will the wild wind one day cease and you’ll no longer roam?
Move along, Cheyenne, the next pasture’s always so green.
Driftin’ on, Cheyenne, don’t forget the things you have seen,
And when you settle down, where will it be Cheyenne?
Cheyenne!
[Starring: Clint Walker (aka Norman Eugene Walker) as Cheyenne Bodie]
Cilla (1968–1974: BBC)
Step inside love — let me find you a place
Where the cares of the day will be carried away
by the smile on your face
We are together now and forever … come what may
Step inside love and sta-ay
Step inside love

The Clangers (1969)
This the planet Earth.
This is the place where we live.
It is a pleasant warm planet — well, most of it is for most of the year —
because the sun shines on it, and the cloudy atmosphere keeps the warmth in like a blanket.
Very cosy, very convenient!
But the Earth is really rather an exceptional planet —
one would have to look away from the Earth and search through the Universe to find another planet so pleasant to live in.
Even the Clangers’ planet is pretty bleak and cold on the outside!
The Clangers don’t stay outside very much — they live inside the planet in their warm caves.
Look … the Foglets … they should be indoors! Yes, they’re cold and shivering!
Ah, there’s Tiny Clanger and Small Clanger — they’ll think of some way to keep them warm.
Cloppa Castle (1978)
If you go down to Cloppa Castle
Be prepared to stay a while,
The Bygones and the Hasbeens
Always doing battle for the oil.
What they found beneath the ground
Has made the Bygones free
And every day at three o’clock
They all sit down to tea.
From the day the world was born
Man has had to make a stand
Over seas and over mountains,
Banners raised across the land.
A jolly bunch of chaps they are
The friendly enemy
And every day at three o’clock
They all sit down to tea.
