Sites & Housing Development Plan: Headington

The City Council’s massive Sites and Housing Development Plan Document (DPD) supersedes part of the Local Plan. Consultation closed on 22 July 2011, and the plan was adopted on 18 February 2013. The consultation was in two main parts:

Part A: Housing policies

This part included new recommendations for Houses in Multiple Occupation, e.g. that planning permission for an HMO should not be granted if the number of neighbouring houses that are already HMOs exceeds 20%.

Part b: Sites

This included site allocations for 194 sites throughout Oxford. Of these, 22 were in Headington, and are listed below:

    (Warneford Meadow which had been earmarked for development in the earlier Local Plan was not included in the DPD after being designated a Town Green in May 2010)
