Parish War Memorials in and near Oxford
Many parish churches also have their own war memorials. At the time of the First World War, suburbs such as Headington and Cowley were not part of the City of Oxford, and such areas invariably had their own memorials. These can be a monument in the churchyard or elsewhere, or a plaque in the church
