Inscriptions: Queen Victoria
The above plaque, inscribed "VICTORIA • DEI GRA • BRITT • REG" ("Victoria, by the grace of God Queen of Britain"), is on the side of the former Post Office at 258 Abingdon Road.
On the front of the same building is a small, much newer plaque (left) dedicated to Diana, Princess of Wales (1961–1997)
