St Giles' Fair in 1909
The above postcard shows St Giles Fair in September 1909.
The entertainments include a steam roundabout and the “Brooklyn Cake Walk”. The photograph was taken at the north-east end of St Giles: the tall building in the top left-hand corner was demolished to make way for the Mathematical Institute in the 1960s.
