1839 Directory
Robson’s Commercial Directory for 1839 lists the following businesses in St Giles’ Street. It is the first directory which shows the numbers of Oxford buildings, and consequently the only one that lists clearly the businesses at 75, 76, 77, and 78 St Giles that were demolished to make way for the Taylor Institution in 1841.
