Thomas Dagville
Mayor of Oxford 1434/5, 1435/6, and 1444
Thomas Dagville (or Dagfeld / Dagvale / Dagavyll / Dagvile / Dagvyll / Daggevile / Dagvyle / Daggevyle) was the son of the wealthy former Mayor William Dagville I.
Dagville was appointed as bailiff of the town in 1427, and is described as such in April 1428 when his house was robbed.
Dagville was chosen as one of the four Aldermen in 1432, 1436, 1437, 1442, 1444, and 1447.
Dagville served as Mayor in 1434/4 and 1435/6, and then served again at the end of the mayoral year 1443/4. On 24 February 1444 when he was Mayor he presented Thomas Cuthbert to the living of All Saints Church.
Dagville was also elected Member of Parliament for Oxford in 1433, 1435, and 1447.
Dagville died in about 1449. His son William was also to serve as Mayor of Oxford
