Listed Buildings

Grade I listed buildings are considered to be of national importance, and the High has seven of these.

Grade II* listed buildings, however, are also extremely important and are considered to have some national significance. Nine business premises and two university buildings in this category

Grade II listed buildings tend simply to be of local importance: 29 Grade II listed shops on the north side of the road, and 30 on the south.

Only 23 shops in the High are not listed.
