No. 7: Bonnie

No. 7 is the right-hand half of a building dating from around 1800. It is Grade II listed (ref. 1485/170).
The area behind this shop was a market garden from at least 1830 to 1846, belonging to the nurseryman T. Fairbairn, described in 1839 as "late Gardener to their Royal Highnesses, the Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold".
No one lived in No. 7 at the time of the 1851 and 1881 censuses. From 1861 to 1871 it was the county court office, wedged between two firms of solicitors; it remained a solicitors' office to 1905.
