President’s Lodgings, Trinity College

The lodgings of the President of Trinity College are set well back from Broad Street and have a private gate leading on to it. Both the house itself and and the front railings are Grade II listed (refs. 1485/139C and 139K).
The house was built by Sir Thomas Graham Jackson in 1885–7 in part of the garden of Kettell Hall. It has no number, and is not listed in directories.
The first Presidents of Trinity who would have occupied this house are John Percival (1878–1897), Henry George Woods (1888–97), and Henry Francis Pelham (1897–1907).
