Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Studio Theatre Club?
The STC is a small, friendly, amateur drama club, based in Headington. We enjoy staging plays and we have a strong social side outside rehearsals, too.

Age range
Will you be too young/too old? Unlikely. Nominally our age range is 15+, but most members are in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, and from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Past productions
We try to present as wide a variety as possible of scripted drama. Recently we've staged Sharon Stone’s Girls’ Night, Noel Coward’s Present Laughter and Terry Pratchett’s Making Money.

What’s Next?
We will soon start rehearsing a production of Terry Pratchett’s WYRD SISTERS: The Director’s Cut, which will be staged on 20-24 January 2009. This is a new adaptation of the book by its original dramatist, to mark Terry’s 60th birthday and Discworld’s 25th anniversary.

Where are we?
You can find us at the Bullingdon Community Centre, which is at the end of Peat Moors, The Slade, Headington on most Monday or Thursday evenings. There’s loads of parking space. We also continue to meet socially during the summer. You might prefer to give us a call first, to check we'll be there.
