Grass verges in Old Road, Headington

There used to be an attractive green verge running alongside the kerb on the south side of Old Road, but it is fast disappearing.

The contractors have finished their work building key-worker accommodation on the site of the Red House at 72 Old Road, but the pavement has been left a mess (above). They have left behind the stones used to hold their vehicles' wheels, so there is no chance that the grass will return. In contrast, the garden of the new Burrows House and Jolliffe House (below) has been planted with trees and the lawn area seeded.
