Buses between Headington and London’s airports
Oxford London Airport is at Kidlington, to the north of the city. At present it only runs passenger services to Geneva and Rome, and there is no direct bus service to Headington. It is possible to take a bus to Oxford centre and a second bus up to Headington.
Other airports
The bus service between Heathrow and Gatwick is superb, and stops at three places in Headington before descending the hill down to Oxford:
- Headington (Green Road) roundabout
- Headington shops
- Gipsy Lane (for Oxford Brookes University)
From Heathrow
Airline bus, which runs half-hourly during the day and every two hours during the night from Heathrow direct to Oxford via Headington
From Gatwick
Airline bus, which runs hourly during the day and every two hours during the night from Gatwick direct to Oxford via Headington
From Stansted or Luton
Note that these are a considerable distance from Oxford and the bus service is poor
There is an infrequent bus between Oxford (Gloucester Green) and both Stansted and Luton. Times available by filling in what you require on the National Express website.
