Oxford City Artweeks have a number of exhibitions in Headington, 12–20 May 2012.

Beer Festival, White Hart

The White Hart in St Andrew's Road is holding its 4th Annual Beer Festival on Friday 18–Sunday  20 May 2012.

Working together to create lifetime neighbourhoods for older people

Special meeting of the North-East Area Forum aimed at elderly people in Headington and Marston

Monday 21 May 2012, 1.30–4pm in the Town Hall

Discussion points will include views on how to improve neighbourhoods for older people and lobbying for the most appropriate transport options. The forum will commence from 1.30pm starting with a tour of the Town Hall, then from 2pm the forum will start and finish at 4pm. Summary and action points will be reviewed at 3.45pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Area Forums

The North-East Area Forum covers all six wards of the former North-East Area Committee and meets once every three months

Headington Farmers’ Market

This is now held on second as well as the fourth Friday of each month. Next market Friday 25 May 2012, top of Kennett Road, 8am to 1.30pm.

The Music of Lark Rise

Saturday 26 May 2012 at 7pm
All Saints' Church, Lime Walk

A jubilee production by Highfield Residents Association showing a year in the life of an Oxfordshire village, Juniper Hill (Lark Rise), portrayed in songs and readings from Flora Thompson's classic trilogy Lark Rise to Candleford

Performed by Black Fox. Also taking part are Windmill School children acting out the May Day celebrations.

These meetings are organized by David Rundle and Ruth Wilkinson for the residents of their ward (Headington) and are usually held in the months when there is no North-East area forum.
