Events that missed this month's guide:
The Friends of Bury Knowle Park are meeting at 2.30pm on Sunday 12 July at the main gate on the London Road to walk around and assess the Park. Everyone is welcome to join in.
Fantastic Fossil Day

At Rock Edge Quarry, Headington
11 am to 4.00 pm
A FREE event for all the family with lots to see and do: Find out about “Jurassic Oxford.” See local fossils, dinosaur teeth, claws & bones. Bring along your own fossils to have them identified by our experts. Make your own plaster cast fossils. Go digging for fossils or panning for ‘gold’! Take a guided tour of the quarry face. Geologists will be on hand to explain the geology and history of the quarry to you.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Meet at: Rock Edge Local Nature Reserve, near the Junction of Old Road and Windmill Road.
This event is being organised jointly by Oxford City Council and the Oxfordshire Geology Trust with funding from the Heritage Lottery.
